‘A Day Without Nonprofits’ Report
San Joaquin County’s nonprofits are the backbone of our community. A new report, A Day Without Nonprofits from the Bay Area Council Economic Institute and United Way of San Joaquin County, shows just how devastating it would be if these organizations disappeared. Nonprofits contribute nearly $1 billion to the local economy, employ over 20,000 people, and provide essential services that government agencies alone cannot meet.
At Tracy Community Connections Center (TCCC), we see this impact firsthand. Every shower, case management session, and outreach effort demonstrates why nonprofits matter. Without organizations like TCCC, thousands in Tracy would lose access to food, housing support, healthcare connections, and hope. We encourage you to read the full report here
to understand why investing in nonprofits isn’t optional but essential to the health and future of San Joaquin County.
